What is included in Post-Hire Support?

Never managed a remote hire before? We set you up with the tools to manage them: remote time tracking, a business call line with SMS, communication and messaging tools, payments, and onboarding guidance for the first 30, 60 and 90 days. We guide you through the legal side of hiring offshore (contracts, contractor setup and paying them properly) and keep it simple. This is general guidance, not a substitute for your own legal or tax adviser.

Do I pay the worker directly?

Yes. You arrange the wage. ScaleHorse charges the one-time recruitment fee and does not add a monthly markup. The one-time recruitment fee is CAD 3,950 + GST/HST (CAD 500 deposit + CAD 3,450 on hire). There is no ongoing recruitment markup. The six-month guarantee is a replacement search, not a refund.

If the selected person leaves or is unsuitable within six months, ScaleHorse runs a replacement search at no additional recruitment fee, subject to the guarantee terms. It is not a refund.

What time zones can they work?

Hours are agreed in the brief so they fit the team you already have. A clock difference is not the same thing as a shared working day.
