Recruitment Terms

Fees

• A deposit of $500 USD is payable to commence a search.
• A success fee of $3,000 USD is payable when you select a candidate from the shortlist.
• The total one-time recruitment fee is $3,500 USD. There is no ongoing recruitment markup.
• Fees are quoted in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

The search

• Our target is to present shortlisted candidates approximately 21 days from commencement, depending on the role and talent market.
• Typical searches involve a large applicant pool, often 200–300+ applicants. Applicant volumes are targets, not guarantees.
• Candidates are screened, assessed, interviewed and reference-checked before shortlisting.
• Our goal is to present the strongest three candidates for your consideration.

Client responsibilities

• Participating in discovery and confirming the agreed role scope.
• Providing timely feedback and availability for finalist interviews.
• Making the hiring decision and agreeing terms directly with the selected candidate.
• Meeting all payment, employment and compliance obligations in your jurisdiction.

Deposits and cancellation

The deposit covers work performed from the moment a search commences, including discovery, role design and sourcing. Where a client cancels after a search has commenced, the deposit is generally non-refundable. If ScaleHorse is unable to commence or continue a search, we will discuss options with you in good faith.

Guarantee

Completed searches are covered by our six-month replacement guarantee, subject to the guarantee terms published on this website.
